Mr. Dowling. Don Dowling is one of the top specialists in the U.S. in the field of condominium conversion and residential condominium sales. He has personally sold or managed the sales of more than 10,000 condominium homes since 1997, with one year's sales topping $605 million. Prior to joining CondoSmart Realty, Don was Senior Vice President and Director of Sales of The Condo Store in Atlanta (now NRT Development Advisors), the top condo sales agency in the Southeast. He was part of the management team that successfully sold the agency to Coldwell Banker - NRT in 1999. Mr. Dowling's programs of sales training and strategic marketing have achieved record levels of sales for CondoSmart's clients. His hands-on approach knowledge of the competition and his pricing skills have helped developers position their condominium communities in their markets, so that they successfully sell out. CondoSmart communities have always outperformed their market competitors. A graduate in Business Administration and Economics, Don is very active in church and civic affairs, having been Past President of the Rotary Club, volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and Campaign Chairman for The Easter Seal Society.
RONALD L. LOZOFF - CO-FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Mr. Lozoff has developed and managed real estate for over thirty years. His experience includes founding and growing an Atlanta-based apartment management company, developing or converting condominium projects, owning and managing a series of hotels and shopping centers, co-founding the Atlanta Apartments Owners and Managers Association, and served as one of the founding Board of Directors. Mr. Lozoff also co-founded and is a co-owner of SLD Properties, LLC—an experienced hotel developer, Columbia Hospitality Management, LLC—a hotel management company, CondoSmart, LLC—a condominium sales and marketing company, Columbia Association Management, LLC—a homeowners association management company, Choice Condominiums, LLC—a successful condominium developer, and Choice RE, LLC—a real estate asset manager.
JOSEPH H. HARMAN - CO-FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Mr. Harman has developed and managed real estate for over thirty years. He was a co-founder of the Suburban Lodges of America, Inc. (SLA), a hotel owner/franchisor/manager which went public in 1996 company. When SLA and its 68 hotels was purchased by a private company in 2002, Mr. Harman and several other Suburban Franchisees purchased Suburban Lodge Franchise Systems, Inc., franchisor of the remaining, independently-owned 65-hotels. Mr. Harman was Chairman of the Board of Directors of that company until its sale to Choice Hotels International, Inc. in September 2005. Joe's FCGI Associates, LLC and its affiliates are successor organizations to First Equities Corporation (FEC), a Georgia corporation that he founded in 1974. From 1974-1989, FEC acquired or developed, and managed more than 250 income properties which cost more than $1.5 billion. Mr. Harman also co-founded and is a co-owner of SLD Properties, LLC—an experienced hotel developer, Columbia Hospitality Management, LLC—a hotel management company, CondoSmartRealty, LLC—a condominium sales and marketing company, Columbia Association Management, LLC—a homeowners association management company, Choice Condominiums, LLC—a successful condominium developer, and Choice RE, LLC—a real estate asset manager. Mr. Harman is also a co-owner of Stonemark Group, Inc., an Atlanta-based apartment asset manager, and Stonemark Management, LLC, which manages over 13,000 apartment units. Mr. Harman has also actively owned other, non-real estate businesses, including Thermo Pac, Inc., a food processing and packaging company which was ultimately sold to H.J Heinz Company.
ROBERT KANE – CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Mr. Kane has over twenty years' experience in property and asset management. For a private developer he oversaw a portfolio of 3 million square feet of commercial office and industrial space in several states. He has also managed construction, development and lease-up of a Texas-based retail and mixed use portfolio exceeding $100 million. Mr. Kane is also experienced in providing market research, site evaluations, and due diligence services for developers and owners. He has also managed large property owners' associations totaling more than 2000 units. He holds college degrees in architecture and real estate. Mr. Kane is also Chief Operating Officer of Columbia Association Management, LLC. He is a member of the Community Associations Institute, U.S. Green Building Council, Institute of Real Estate Management, Society of Industry leaders, National Assoc. of Industrial & Office Properties, International Counsel of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute.
